Legal Assistant McDonald & McDonald Legal, Winnipeg, MB 09/2014 - Present (10 years 3 months) The tasks involved in the Legal Assistant position include:
- Implementing a monitoring system for reviewing legal documents within the library to ensure all volumes were up to date and current; this initiative saved lawyers time and money while researching in-depth cases - Created an organization system to allow me to work on more than one case simultaneously, therefor providing greater output I am considering moving on because of my interest in relocating to Brandon, MB. Gap 09/2013 - 09/2014 (1 year ) You will notice periods of unemployment in my resume due to a maternity leave between my previous role and my current role. Grounds Maintenance Supervisor CFB Military Base, Winnipeg, MB 04/2010 - 08/2013 (3 years 4 months) The Grounds Maintenance Supervisor role involved:
- Implementing a feedback system that provided the team of summer students with an evaluation at the end of the summer. - Implementation of a staff appreciation program, used as an opportunity to thank hard working summer team. I moved on from this role when I took a maternity leave and was unable to return due to the extended hours in the summer season not aligning with childcare availability. Waitress & Bartender Cindy's Coffee House & Bar, Winnipeg, MB 06/2006 - 03/2010 (3 years 9 months) As a Waitress & Bartender, the role included:
- Trusted with management of the bar till as the second in command when the manager was absent. - Supported the owner with implementing an annual staff retreat to gather the employees and learn what was working and what wasn't for the business with the goal of improving the company and the morale. I worked in this role through university and left when I took the position as Grounds Maintenance Supervisor. |
